Ebook About
You Can’t Say That! Do you have a right to be offended by the facts? Against all the evidence, the mainstream media insist that America has never been more racist and sexist. The police are waging a war on Black people. “White privilege” means minorities never get a fair shake. Although this narrative of oppression is demonstrably fictitious, it is taboo to question it, and those who do so risk being labeled racist or sexist themselves. America needs an honest conversation based on common sense and cold, hard facts. Honesty and respect for the facts are the specialty of Wilfred Reilly, the celebrated author of Hate Crime Hoax. In Taboo, he fearlessly examines ten forbidden truths that have been buried by political correctness. They include: -The Black rate of violent crime is roughly 2.5 times the white rate. When demographic variables are taken into account, there are no racial differences in the rate of police-involved shootings. -Interracial crime is remarkably rare, but 75 to 80 percent of it occurs against white people. -Minorities can be racist—take the Nation of Islam, which holds that white people are an inferior race created by a Black scientist. -Disparities between racial groups in IQ testing and SAT performance are the result of cultural variables, such as the presence of a father in the home, not racism. Reilly goes where most social scientists fear to tread, using objective statistics and common sense to tackle taboo topics. Taboo is an essential takedown of the lies you hear every day from ideological activists and lazy, biased media.

Book Taboo: 10 Facts You Can't Talk About Review :

Professor Reilly wants to have the conversations we all are afraid to have, and in this book he breaks all the rules of our public discourse. But thanks to the Professor’s gentle and good natured humor, he not only leads us through some serious and complex topics but does it entertainingly as well. His arguments are usually well sourced and clear, without excessive jargon or tendentiousness. He also gives samples of arguments from both extremes and rebuts them clearly and humorously, but without the bitter style of say, an Ann Coulter or Samantha Bee. Much of this material is covered in other places (few things are new under the sun) but rarely with this level of clarity and fun for the reader. Highly recommended.
Reilly is a black professor who has written this book about racial taboos. If a white man had written the exact same book, no major publisher would touch it. This is linguistic apartheid. In Anthropology 101 we learned about how primitive pacific islanders had many taboos whose purpose is to deny and obscure reality. Nowadays in America we have more taboos than all the pacific islanders put together. The first taboo is that we cannot mention that blacks have the highest violent crime rates. To do so would question the myth that they commit no more crimes than anyone else but are targeted by police. The second taboo is that we cannot acknowledge that most interracial crime is black on white. To do so would question the myth that most interracial crime is white on black. The third taboo is that we cannot recognize that different racial and ethnic groups have different rates of performance in different areas. To do so would question the myth that any black underperformance is the result of racism. The fourth taboo is that we cannot say that performance is the major cause of success. To do so would question the myth that racism is the cause of black social pathology instead of characteristics like family structure, study habits, and impulse control. The fifth taboo is that we cannot claim that inner-city black culture is the cause of black social pathology. To do so would question the myth that fatherless homes, illegitimacy, and welfare dependency have nothing to do with black social pathology. The sixth taboo is that we cannot question the myth that equal outcomes are the natural norm absent racism. To do so would question the myth that unequal black outcomes must be the result of racism and not anything in inner-city black culture. The seventh taboo is that we cannot claim that blacks are now privileged through affirmative action with preferential treatment in college admissions and hiring in big companies such as the Fortune 500. To do so would question the myth of white privilege when whites are the victims of these practices. The eighth taboo is that blacks cannot be guilty of cultural appropriation which is something only whites can do. No one can say that Maxine Waters, for example, is guilty of cultural appropriation for constantly using hair straightener. The ninth taboo is that we cannot point out that immigration has resulted in detriments such as increased crime and lower wages for Americans. To do so would question the myth that immigration is always a benefit. The tenth taboo concerns the Alt-Right which is more commonly known as White Supremacy. The taboo here is that it cannot be claimed that these people are really responding to what is called reverse discrimination. To do so would question the myth that the Alt-Right is the main threat to America. This group is minuscule and hardly anyone has heard of its Ethnostates program which Reilly mentions.
